The Retreat on The Hill is tailored to celebrate love and connection under the stars to break free from your routine, fall in love, relax or refocus your energy. I honestly had the most magical and enchanting experience with my beloved husband of 20 years, and we indeed felt so relaxed and unwound at the Retreat. The Retreat on The Hill offers Safari Tents, Tipis, and Belle Tents with private decks and all commodities from air conditioning, wifi, and charging outlets. This place is not only close to Austin but also near San Antonio and a few hours’ drive from Dallas and Houston. The Cottonwood Shores property is between Marble Falls and Horseshoe Bay; you will discover this unique site of three stacked shipping containers that house the most unforgettable and luxurious glamping experience, including The Stardome Suite, the most popular accommodation for honeymooners.
The “Bayview Cliff House” is settled ten stories above Horseshoe Bay, I enjoyed the lake view during the sunset, and the sunrise was magnificent with a 15-foot cathedral ceiling, two transparent cliff side walls, a glass-sided tub, a private bathroom with an indoor shower, Eco-friendly essentials, adjustable, reclining, massage bed, petite star gazing balcony, and mini fridge, microwave, coffee, fast wifi, Amazon Alexa, BlueTooth speaker(s). I was so surprised the Retreat offered complimentary snacks and drinks.
I visited “The Retreat on The Hill ” to celebrate my recovery from my ACL injury five months ago. The whole place is a dream come true, relaxing, romantic with an extraordinary view. The entire experience rekindled the relationship with my husband to feel connected again with him, myself, and nature. I felt so grounded here; I can honestly say I had a spiritual experience with peace and love; definitely, there is something special about “The Retreat on The Hill,” a hidden gem near Austin, Texas.
You will be so amazed by all the thoughtful details and even a telescope inside each room to stargaze.

Additionally, you don’t need to drive to find food, my husband and I walked down the private road, and we found delicious food so close to the property, we had the most delicious and affordable oysters at the LeStourgeon Seafood Company, and delicious seafood items with an excellent selection of beverages and wine selection and you must check the luxurious Bay View Restaurant & Bar just next to the Retreat in a very short distance walk past the tipis and the “Bayview Cliff House.”
I highly recommend The Retreat on The Hill to celebrate love, health, or friendship. There is nothing like a vacation away from work, family, and everyday life stress to bring couples or friendship closer. I honestly can say this is one of the best glamping experiences you can find in central TEXAS. Are you ready for this experience?
